Nico Nico Douga is one of the most popular websites in Japan, it has most of the weirdest and wackiest videos that you could never find from other video sharing sites like Google. As for the fans of Japan, it is no wonder that they’d want to see what’s going on at Nico Nico Douga, by going there to see their hopes; they are confronted with a big obstacle, REGISTRATION…

The site being Japanese is obviously a hassle for those who don’t speak Moon, so this article is dedicated for those fans that always wanted to see what’s going on at Nico Nico Douga. But of course, we have another service that gives you access to videos from Nico Nico Douga without registration, but in any way as a fan, we have to register….

So for first time encounters with Nico Nico Douga, they might want to read this also so they could understand what’s up with Japan…

1. Registration form, we have to find the registration form so that we could supply our information to be able to register.
2. Registering, the process where we place our data on the form.
3. Confirmation, we have to confirm our details to finish the process.
4. Check E-Mail, we need to check our e-mail for NicoNico Douga’s confirmation e-mail.

Saint Young Men Russ-K Commercial – MAD

Vacationing holy men manga “Saint Young Men” features Jesus, Buddha and friends in their own divinely intervened MAD based from a typical boy-band-fashioned commercial of Russ-K. The popular male-group “NEWS” (North East West South) is the original performer of the said CM. Exhibiting their killer moves in the short video, MAD artists could not resist not making their own versions and enlighten us with our favorite characters.

Miku Miku Dance – 3D Dance Software

Have you ever wanted to make those videos you see on Youtube and NicoNicoDouga about dancing 3D Vocaloids, Touhou, Utau, Idolm@sters and many more? I introduce to you MikuMikuDance, it is a software that enables you to import 3D model files in PMD format and lets you control movements and and camera sequences easy and simple. You can also lip-sync the characters to any song that you use for your video manually or by using the VSQ file from the Vocaloid software.

For those who would like to test out this great software, you need to download the software first. Links are provided on the end of the article.

Using the software is easy, but of course at first everything looks very confusing, but after an hour or more of fiddling with the program, you would be able to familiarize all the tools in the program.

MikuMikuDance Hakurei Reimu [GO MY WAY] – First Test

My first test of MikuMikuDance with Hakurei Reimu model and static JPEG Background. No dynamic camera angles, no lighting effects, just plain model and motion test for future productions. The background of the video is only a picture I took from my desk, I just estimated the angle for the 3d video.

It seems that it’s not that hard to use MikuMikuDance, the only problem is that it takes a lot of time to do a single pose for every second. But thanks to tweening, most of the frames have calculated measurements of the position of the pose. So for example you raise the arm up from frame 1, and you raise down the arm in frame 10, what would happen is that the program would calculate a movement between frame 1 to 10 so that you would not manually set every pose on every frame.

One of my first few issues with this is that there are no other codecs and compressors installed for saving the Video, when I first saved the AVI file, the two minutes of the video is worth 768 megabytes! So I had to compress it first before uploading to Youtube since my upload speed is slow. Before that, I had to mux the mp3 file with Virtual Dub so that it would have music.

Vocaloid – Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai – MAD

Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai’s OP is here edited skillfully to make a wonderful Vocaloid MAD. The music video features all the vocaloid characters, including new comer Megurine Luka.

The video shows skillfull editing and animation skills, though most are traced it still is a difficult task to do.

K-on! Bebop MAD

This amusing K-On! MAD is hitting the charts from Nico Nico Douga. The video is a cross over of K-On characters to the opening music video of classic space anime Cowboy Bebop title “Tank”.

The MAD is very well done and carefully arranged that describing it seems difficult, you just have to watch the video…

Oppai moe idol Yoko of Gurren Lagann plus seiyuu Marina Inoue causes a stir in the anime market after the recent release of their first single “S.t.a.r.S” with the debut song “Kirameki Yoko – Peices of Sweet Stars“.

The music video contains many alluring scenes such as oppai shots and pantsu, and a variety of interesting costumes that you must not miss.

Don’t Say Lazy Daler Mehndi Remix

K-On’s evidently successful ending song “Don’t say Lazy” has been remixed with popular internet meme Bollywood star Daler Mehndi with his hit “Tunak Tunak Tun” to this well made entertaining MAD titled “Don’t Say Indy”.

The MAD shows excellent video and sound editing skills. The sound samples fitted the background music very well and seems to sound like an original.

There are much more Daler Mehndi antics, more will be posted soon.

Hatsune Miku MAD by CLAMP

CLAMP, noted for one of the best manga series such as Chobits and of course Card Captor Sakura, illustrates Hatsune Miku in this splendid PV with the song Mugen no Yami (Infinite Darkness) as the BGM.

The video seems to be a reminder of the art style and character designs of the famed group. The show indeed features Hatsune Miku in striking Gothic diva fashion.

The MAD may only consist of still images, but there is no doubt that it is indeed a marvelous work.
