Every year, there’s this this day where everyone makes a fuss about having dates, giving away flowers and chocolates and also raep. I guess this is the day where you can brag about having a girl and later raep her in a motel that smells like stinky used socks. As for me, I keep my day simple as my 2D waifus are here obligated in giving me chocolates for the occasion.

And so once again, another ronery new year for Ichiro, but still he will be celebrating in the internets to enjoy the evening waiting for a precious new year. Haven’t gone outside, still can hear the fireworks earlier as expected, although the rain pours heavy the joy of the people from the neighborhood is not extinguished.

As we can see on the picture above, it’s the neighbors enjoying themselves with the festive mood of the new year’s eve, how joyous it is for them to be together. With music, food, fireworks, cries and laughter, their ageing year seems to be complete.

Here’s one group of our relatives, they seem to be enjoying themselves…

At last this year is finally over, Ichiro will be looking forward for a new life and… a new job to fulfill the dreams that once was almost lost and never found…

Amazed by the quality of Jing Gong models on m4a1 Airsoft rifles, I took the chance to order one for myself, but after a long wait after the ‘gun ban’, my package has arrived. The rifle did not come with a box; instead it was in a black sack/bag that has strings as a garter that can close on one end. I pulled the gun out only to have a flat expression on my face. In my mind “I believe this isn’t what I ordered”; I looked inside for the manual and other stuff and saw something that would disappoint me, the manual clearly reveals it’s an A&K brand Airsoft rifle.

Already in disappointment, I took time to investigate some of the internals of the gun, much as I expected it didn’t have the MOSFET board that I wanted inside a Jing Gong so this further disappointed me. Other things that are disappointing is that there wasn’t a Sector Chip attachment and the Piston only has plastic teeth on it. But overall with exceptions to those things mentioned, everything was sturdy.

Still disappointed in mind, I tried to test it out, too my surprise it was quite powerful and sturdy, and there weren’t any wobbly parts and it just feels like it’s made in Japan. The gun shot out at 430fps out-of-the-box on 0.20g BB’s. Thinking that I can just add a MOSFET, Piston and Sector gear, I thought myself that I would just bear with it. I thought of returning it but the price would be to wait again so long a probably I would receive something different and probably worse.

A few days after, I came to like the A&K m4a1; it really was so sturdy and always sounds good. And so I decided I’ll just bear with it, keeping in mind that even if I have that Jing Gong brand, I’m still bound to upgrade it soon since stock internals don’t last that long specially for China brands. One good thing is that I bought that famous red polycarbonate piston by Jing Gong and I still have it. I can just switch it later when the stock piston’s teeth fades out.

So much for the introduction and short story how I ended up with the gun, I present some pictures below together with my Reimu.

Going around the mall just to look at stuff and see what’s new, I ended up wandering inside the ‘Comic Alley’ store, there I saw this Reimu Nendoroid. Knowing that I don’t have this yet, I was quick to pull out some cash and buy it before losing it… Well I failed to buy that Miku Nendoroid the other day so that was regretful. Anyways, I bought the figure then tried to walk outside but ended up buying more posters and a Miku wallet. Such impulsive buying makes me not surprised as to why I’m always broke…

In this post, we’re going to have some time to unbox and show my crappy skills in taking pictures, I won’t be making a review since it has been reviewed a lot of times and it’s just silly because that figure has been the shelves for so long already… so let’s get things started below…

It took me a while to figure how to use the stand which such an awkward… stand…
Reimu has to literally sit on the stand if she wants to stand. Wait, was that a paradox? >_<

After a lot of downtime, server switches and bad database connections, Ichiro-Style! is back online. A few months have passed, but since then many things had happened with my life, from depression to withdrawal, rehabilitation to enlightenment, but whatever had happened at the end of the day, I still dreamt and pursued to be back online.

Ichiro-Style! will be resuming the blog posts and news, there are much stories to be awaited as a fair share of fun and sad things had transpired. Ichiro also had a lot of new stuff to share and will be doing a new brand of writing style.

So much for that, posting will be resumed soon and be sure to check it out!

My first test of MikuMikuDance with Hakurei Reimu model and static JPEG Background. No dynamic camera angles, no lighting effects, just plain model and motion test for future productions. The background of the video is only a picture I took from my desk, I just estimated the angle for the 3d video.

It seems that it’s not that hard to use MikuMikuDance, the only problem is that it takes a lot of time to do a single pose for every second. But thanks to tweening, most of the frames have calculated measurements of the position of the pose. So for example you raise the arm up from frame 1, and you raise down the arm in frame 10, what would happen is that the program would calculate a movement between frame 1 to 10 so that you would not manually set every pose on every frame.

One of my first few issues with this is that there are no other codecs and compressors installed for saving the Video, when I first saved the AVI file, the two minutes of the video is worth 768 megabytes! So I had to compress it first before uploading to Youtube since my upload speed is slow. Before that, I had to mux the mp3 file with Virtual Dub so that it would have music.

But anyway, just watch the test video below and enjoy…

Finally, Ichiro-Style has achieved its 100th post milestone. Since its inception from February, Ichiro-Style went through all the troubles from building a web page and setting up a server. There was one instance where the worst case scenario has transpired, the website got deleted without having back-ups and had almost zero chance of recovery (it’s a good thing that google is our friend), but this did not seem to stop Ichiro-Style, it even made us grow and improve (as you can see from the recent change from the theme). But all this hardships didn’t come to fruition without our beloved readers and friends (Special mention to Sankaku Complex and its constituents.) that linked us here.

I suppose I should take this also as an opportunity to bring back our previous articles that seemed to be special. Some of these are my personal favorites, and some are the most frequently visited posts. To start it off, I’ll give you the top 10 of the posts.

10. Motto☆Hade ni ne!

This one is my very first post, which is why I consider it as special. It is about the complete version of the opening song from Kannagi (which is my favorite anime at that time, which also explains why the characters are in the banner). I was all about Kannagi at that time, and I didn’t seem to mind if I ever made all my articles about that anime.
You can see how short the article was since I was not good at it. At that time, I have always found words to be quite shy to me that they hide and I could not write them in my posts.

9. Musuhi No Toki

This is my second post, it’s is again about Kannagi. I could not think of a new post so that is why it ended up with this. But it seems that I always get back at it and listen to the song that contributed to the birth of this website.

8. Nagi-Sama Cosplay

Now it is all about Nagi, she is my anime goddess and inspiration. This post caters an extremely well made cosplay rendition of Nagi.

7. Let’s Go! Omnyouji – Old News On New Site!

This one is one of my personal favorites, the Omnyouji MAD that almost made me crazy listening to it. You just have to find out yourself why by reading the post. You could also check out the lyrics in Kana and Romaji so you can sing along.

6. Perfume – Seventh Heaven

This MAD seems to be one of my favorite, because the animation is spectacular and quite fitting to the music and the mood. This is also one of the animations that made me work on my animation studies at that time.

5. Hatsune Miku – World is Mine and The Greatest Princess in the World

This is one of the best Hatsune Miku songs I have ever listened to, and this post is also one of the most viewed and frequently visited from this site.
This song also comes with a Kawashima Ami version which is also very good. In my opinion, it really beats the Hatsune Miku version as this one is more natural to hear and just quite skillfully made.

4. Violin Meltdown

Another one from my favorite MAD collection is the Violin Meltdown. This video seems to be popular until now, that is why this post continuous to be one of the most visited posts too. Thanks to YouTube, that every time someone watches the video I uploaded, they click the link written at the video description that links back here.

3. Ichiro’s Style in Colors

This post is about my mediocre digital coloring skills helping a friend of mine online with his line art. Not much about it, but it seems special for me.

2. Ichiro’s Epic Fail (;_;)

As mentioned in the introduction, this post talks about the recent Failure of Ichiro (which is me) who did not back up his website and also ending up deleting it together with the whole database with the posts and website settings in it.

1. Philippines bans Sankaku Complex, Cause: Not enough Philippine related articles

Save the best for the last, as some of us might say. This post is my most favorite and also is the most viewed in Ichiro-Style. This article is an April fools that really got everyone fall for it. And I also felt this is one of my best written articles as I really have difficulty with words at that time.
Well since I’ve spoiled it already, you could still read it and look at the comments to find out some of those who fell for it.

And now to sum up this post. I hereby thank all of the readers/visitors specially those who regularly come here and of course Sankaku Complex and company, the bloggers who link here and Nagi-sama who is the one that gave birth to this site.

Ichiro-Style! is now being hosted in a reliable paid web server, that means this website will be guaranteed to be 99.9% online!

It took a while to get used to in the Control Panel, but it was all worth it, I had fun learning new things, specially how the ftp works and how I can transfer sql files.

Another advatage of the hosting is that I can host my own videos, mp3s and other files that can be downloaded, unlike in my old server (which is my workstation), the upload speed just can’t do it.

So thanks to everybody who goes to this site, I wouldn’t have gone this far without you
