As for the winter-melon tea thing I was referring to, I think you can buy them at asian markets in like block forms, and you just cook it in water. Though I have to say my favourite kind of "melon juice" is "winter melon"... not sure if that's the actual name, but it's quite popular amongst Chinese people, though I think they mix it with tea... it's called 冬瓜茶 if you're interested.
